Recipe Resources – Simple Cooking with Heart from the American Heart Association – An excellent database filled with healthy recipe options – Another great recipe website with a great search function (they also have a mobile app called ‘Healthy in a Hurry’!)

Exercise Links and Resources – Plan and track your walks ahead of time – By signing up for FitLink you can find many activity resources – A Couch to 5K Program to help first time runners

Additional Resources – Informational USDA site on the plate method – a helpful app for understanding food labels and making healthy choices – excellent resource for diabetes management as well as recipes

Some other exercise resources for the smart phone. Endomondo and Runkeeper. Both work with gps on a smart phone.
